  • Publishing Director, Continuum International Publishing Group (2003–6) – previously Commissioning Editor, Publisher and Editorial Director (1999–2003)

Qualifications include:

  • The Open University: Certificate in Professional Learning and Curriculum Development
  • University of Cambridge: MA (Cantab)
  • University of Malta: Certificate in Thinking Skills

Publications include:

  • Books: Writing Successful Textbooks (A&C Black, 2001); 100 Ideas for Lesson Planning ("an excellent  resource" – TES) and 100 Ideas for Teaching Writing (both Continuum, 2007)
  • Articles and interviews on academic and professional publishing and on textbooks, in periodicals such as The Bookseller, the Journal of Scholarly Publishing, Folio, The Author, China Book Business Report, China Publishers, and Publishing Today
